. The Jimmie Vaughan Story is a limited edition set of five CDs and a book to be released in celebration of his seventieth birthday in 2021. It contains many rarities and previously unreleased recordings. Jimmie's self-penned story is told in the 240-page book, which is illustrated with over two hundred photographs and images from his private collection and from photographers such as Blake Burwell, Susan Antone, Tracy Hart, Watt Casey and others, many of which are previously unpublished.

With a total running time of over six hours of music, this CD anthology (not available in digital format) showcases Jimmie's signature style from his early days with Storm and the Fabulous Thunderbirds through his solo career and into 2020. It includes examples of his work with Albert Collins, Art Neville, B. B. King, Bill Carter, Billy F.
