In den 1930er Jahren fand der „Singing Cowboy“ seinen Einzug in die mittlerweile überregionalen Radio Shows und den noch jungen Tonfilm Hollywoods. Die Romantik der Cowboy Kultur des 19. Jahrhunderts traf den Zeitgeist der damaligen Zeit und der klassische Western Sound entstand. Schon Jimmie Rodgers hatte sich in den 1920er Jahren das Western Genre zu eigen gemacht, aber mit der Gründung der Sons of The Pioneers entstand der typische Harmoniegesang, der bis heute das Genre bestimmt. Hier findet man die echte Western Musik: Roy Rogers, Ken Maynard, Sons Of The Pioneers, Foy Willing und natürlich Gene Autry. Aber auch spätere Künstler wie den Riders in the Sky, Chris LeDoux oder Michael Martin Murphey sind in dieser Sparte vertreten.

In den 1930er Jahren fand der „Singing Cowboy“ seinen Einzug in die mittlerweile überregionalen Radio Shows und den noch jungen Tonfilm Hollywoods. Die Romantik der Cowboy Kultur des 19. Jahrhunderts traf den Zeitgeist der damaligen Zeit und der klassische Western Sound entstand.
