East Coast Doo Wop, West Coast Doo Wop, New York Doo Wop, Los Angeles Doo Wop - but Doo Wop from Arizona? Well, I know the Tads and I know the La Chords but I've thought that's it! No it's not! 30 Doo Wop Rockers and Doo Wop Ballads from the 'Grand Canyon State' are on this nice, well-illustrated and informative compilation and this album is a real treat from the beginning up to the end! The notes come from Dan Nowicki and the whole production and compilation comes from the 'Chief Arizona Music Dude' John Dixon who already was responsible for Bear Family productions like 'Rockin' & Boppin' In The Desert, the 'Viv Labels' box, the 'Porter Records Story' and the 'MCI Records Story'. A 5-star release all the way and a must-have for every 1950s music collector!(Bear Family Records)
