Under their own direction Shawn and Jay along with Johnny Moeller - the three have known each other for over 20 years - recorded a stunningly loud, dirty album album full of enthusiasm in Austin at the beginning of 2018. 'Something straight-out' is the apt description for the music, which ranges from crunchy shuffles to rumba, funk, R&B and apocalyptically heavy grooves. Besides the basic line-up with Shawn Pittman - guitar, vocals and Jay Moeller - drums and vocals, Johnny Moeller is the second guitarist on half of the tracks. Mostly he plays the fat, booming baritone guitar, which makes a bass player unemployed. Or he shares the lead guitarist's job with Shawn. He in turn loves the classic sharp electric guitar tone. 

Both guitarists come from the Texas blues guitar school and name Freddie King, Albert King, the Vaughan brothers, Earl King and jazz guitarist Grant Green as role models. 

Jay and Johnny worked for the Fabulous Thunderbirds for about ten years and played with almost every blues musician in Austin. Simple, straightforward, dirty, soulful, intense - attributes of an original guitar-drums duo!
