Karl Golgowsky was born on 11.11.1910 in Hülsten. He received violin lessons as a child. At the age of 21 he had his voice trained and received engagements in Dortmund and also in Berlin. From 1936 he sang alongside Rudi Schuricke in the Schuricke-Terzett.

After the war he worked with his own formations such as the Golgowsky Quartet and the Rodgers Duo.

The Fellows were a second, later duo formation that existed alongside the Rodgers Duo from 1959 to 1962. Here Golgowsky sang German hits and cover versions of international hits together with Winfried Lüssenhop.

Winfried Lüssenhop, who was later to make a career as Wyn Hoop, was born in Hanover on 29 May 1936. As a child he had piano and guitar lessons, and singing lessons alongside his vocational training.

At the end of 1958 he started his recording career under the name Fred Lyssen, from spring 1959 as Wyn Hoop.
From 1959 to 1962, the two released singles regularly. The first single "Donna Maria" was their only chart success (Nov. 1959 number 61) and stayed in the charts for 4 weeks. The Fellows disbanded in 1962.

The Fellows' successes appear here on CD for the first time.
