Filmed at iconic landmarks like Monument Valley, Utah, the Green River in Wyoming and the Nevada prairie, the series visits ghost towns, old railway depots and Indian reservations, takes us on a ride on an authentic Overland stagecoach and shows cowboys, gold diggers and hunters who faithfully recreate the legends of the West. Along the way there are fascinating encounters with a descendant of Indian chief Geronimo, a ballet dancer in a ghost town, and of course, Festus (Ken Curtis) telling one of his incredible tall tales.

Western CD-Album-Series with Country and Western CDs
These collections give you an overview of songs that were memorable elements of post-War westerns in cinemas and on TV. Along with established ‘veterans’ of the genre like Johnny Horton, Roy Rogers and Johnny Cash there are unexpected singing (with more or less success…) cowboys like James Stewart, Kirk Douglas or the ‘Bonanza’ cast.
The booklets, brimming with period art from posters and lobby cards, are the perfect visual companion to the music. Popcorn not included.

As one of the original Reinsmen, I had the pleasure of working with the talented Guenther Chiekowski on some of his projects as far back as 1980. "Go West, Sing West" was by far the most rewarding. The songs we performed were recorded live on camera using just one overhead boom mike. I found the reproduction and balance truly amazing.
The DVD package is very well done and long overdue. It sure brought back some fond memories to me and the other surviving members of the Reinsmen. Thank you Bear Family!
