Various - Schlager Komm mit mir in die Milchbar (CD)

1-CD with 24-page booklet, 25 tracks. Running time 60:58 minutes. Original recordings from the master tapes only!

Memories of happy teenage years, first love and years full of colourful dreams and youthful abandon – that is what lies behind this musical invitation. The milk bar was the classic meeting place. Everyone crowded around the glittering jukebox, where the fascinating little vinyl discs bearing the hits of the day waited only for the right button to be pressed. The songs played were the ones known to go down especially well with the cheeky teenagers at the kidney-shaped table in the corner. German tear-jerkers were on offer just as much as the current hits from the USA and England – whose German-language versions ranked high in many a teenager's affections.

This compilation is a musical rendezvous with the spirit of that era. These and many other songs spun not only in the jukeboxes of the milk bars, but also on the portable record players at home. Do you still remember?
