This CD is intended as an ideal introduction to the world of hell-raising Rockabilly. This is real American music recorded by country boys (and gals), out to have a ball, playing music that's sure to get the joint rocking without fail.

16 of these tracks originate from the Houston-based Starday Record company, 8 are from various Memphis labels including Erwin, Memphis, Stompertime and E & M and one is from the tiny Miami-based Art Records. In most cases these classic performances have been digitally transferred from the original master tapes.

Please bear in mind, however, that many of these recordings were cut under fairly primitive conditions. Any lack of fidelity that you may detect will definitely be more than compensated for by the passionate nature of the performance.
