Between 1962 and 1966, the Tornados (in many different line-ups) were a fixture in Joe Meek's production studio at 304 Holloway Road. From the worldwide hit "Telstar" to the soulful vocal tracks of the later years, the band's remarkable musicianship and Meek's inspired production techniques produced track after track of excellent and innovative 60s pop that led to a string of hits and near-hits around the world.
