BACM collectors will already be familiar with the Shelton Brothers (BACM CDs 10, 370 and 562), one of the most popular honky tonk/hillbilly/western swing bands of the 1930s. In 1940, Vocalion began recording the Shelton Brothers' band under the name Sunshine Boys, with a stellar lineup of top musicians, but without bandleaders Bob and Joe (Shelton Brothers). The line-up of the Sunshine Boys changed over the years, but included pianist Moon Mullican, inventive fiddler Jimmy Thomason and younger brother Merle Shelton on rhythm guitar;
