Sandie Shaw war mehr als nur eine Stimme – sie war ein Symbol der Swinging Sixties, eine Ära voller Rebellion, Musik und Freiheit. Geboren als Sandra Goodrich am 26. Februar 1947 in Dagenham, Essex, startete sie ihre Karriere aus einfachen Verhältnissen und wurde zum Star.

Ihr erster großer Erfolg kam 1964 mit "Always Something There To Remind Me", einer mitreißenden Coverversion des Burt Bacharach-Klassikers, die in Großbritannien Platz 1 erreichte. Nur kurze Zeit später landete sie mit "Long Live Love" erneut einen Nr. 1-Hit und etablierte sich als eine der erfolgreichsten britischen Sängerinnen.

Barfuß zur Legende
