The native Dutchwoman from Sweden with the exotic-looking (artist) name Ria Solar enriched the German pop scene only for a short time. As soon as her voice is heard, people may remember her again, but in any case they will fall in love with her. This clear and at the same time velvety, warm voice, with only a touch of accent is so beautiful that one wonders why there is not more of her.

Like in a Hollywood movie, she was discovered as a cigarette girl in a Swedish hotel. The PR strategists didn't even have to make up this story, because it is simply true. Together with the invented name, the concept'A Star Is Born' should have worked out. This would certainly have been the case if she hadn't already been so successful in Sweden (under her real name: Maria Dieke). Two countries and two careers got along badly and in the end they won the'award' to Sweden.
