Shocking Blue was a Dutch rock band from The Hague that had its heyday in the 60s and 70s and enjoyed great success across the Atlantic.

The band was formed in 1967 and had its greatest success after recruiting singer Mariska Veres. Their single "Venus" made them the first Dutch band ever to reach the number one spot on the American Billboard Hot 100. The band subsequently had a string of hits, but disbanded in 1975. Their influence reached far beyond their generation: The Prodigy used a sample of "Love Buzz" and even Nirvana covered this single.

This remastered edition of "At Home" is the first volume in a special series of remastered albums by Shocking Blue, overseen by Red Bullet catalog and band archivist Wouter Bessels. The album includes the mono single versions of 'Venus' and 'Long And Lonesome Road' as well as 4 bonus tracks: the B-sides 'Fireball Of Love', 'Harley Davidson', 'Hot Sand' and 'Wild Wind'.
