With René Carol's fourth CD we present his recordings from 1961 to 1966. In the early sixties, accompanied by his wife Margit Sander, he also appeared in Canada and the USA, where he had great success for a German artist. With the titles Die Brücke zur alten Heimat and Grüss mir die Sterne von Montana René Carol brought German-born Americans and emigrants a bit of home.

In Germany he can't continue his earlier great successes, but has at least once a year a hitparade nomination, like Hafenmarie, Ein Vagabundenherz, Der rote Wein and Prinzessin Sonnenschein.
