Seaman, your home is the sea. In 1960, Lolita was the first German-language singer after 1945 to break the one million record sales barrier with this song. With this song she could also place herself in the charts of the USA and sold more than 250,000 singles - in German language!

The first two Bear Family CDs contain the early hits (CD 1: 1957-1958; CD 2: 1959 - 1962) of the singer from St. Pölten with the unmistakable voice. From her first recordings as Ditta Zusa for Heliodor, her first Polydor records as Lolita to her duets with Jimmy Makulis, Jörg-Maria Berg and Fred Kraus, everything is here.

Besides their great successes like The White Moon of Maratonga, Addio, Amigo or Corabella, lesser-known songs like Manana Caballero or Stay with me are recalled to the listener's memory. Two unreleased titles and recordings in English round off the start of the Lolita series.
