Sun was ultimate singles label, and this is the fourth boxed set in a six-volume collection of every Sun and Phillips International single. This set covers the years 1959 to 1962. Sun was still releasing records by Johnny Cash, including 'Goodbye Little Darlin'', 'Blue Train', and 'Mean Eyed Cat'. Jerry Lee Lewis was cutting some of the greatest singles of his career, such as 'Bonnie B.', 'Little Queenie', 'What'd I Say' and 'How's My Ex Treating You'.

At the same time, Sun was experimenting with new artists, new sounds and two new studios. Among the lesser-known Sun stars who made great records during these years were Ray Smith, Harold Dorman, Rayburn Anthony and Tracy Pendarvis. Covering Sun 329 to 379, once again, many of these singles have never been reissued on LP or CD.
