Since putting together his first 'Harmonica Blowout' event in Berkeley, 1991 Mark Hummel's festival has become a mainstay on the Californian blues calendar, with stops in several cities. 2000 was the year the blow-out was recorded. A high-profile cast of players, including the finest from the west coast, plus a guest from Chicago produced powerful harmonica blues. Extensive solos, plenty of room to stretch-out: it's all on this fabulous 2-CD set. More than 2 hours of great music, also thanks to the superb guitar support of legendary player Junior Watson. Very entertaining, a must for the real harp fanatic. Band members include: JUNIOR WATSON - gtr, KIRK FLETCHER - gtr, Mark Hummel's back-up band.
