Acclaimed by the New York Times as "a beguilingly versatile singer, fluent in classical country, blues and southern rock, and with a voice that effortlessly shifts from tender to tough," Ashley McBryde has attracted the attention of some of Nashville's wildest entertainers, earning her appearances as opening act for Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, and most recently Little Big Town and George Strait. The Washington Post raves, "McBryde's working-class stories and her straightforward singing make her stand out.

On March 30, 2018, McBryde released her major debut album "Girl Going Nowhere" on Atlantic Records/Warner Nashville, produced by Jay Joyce and nominated as "Best Country Album" at the GRAMMY Awards 2019, followed by McBryde's award as "New Female Artist of the Year" at the ACM Awards. The Arkansas-born artist also received critical acclaim for her album "Girl Going Nowhere" from The New York Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, Variety and others.

In Jimmy Fallon's "The Tonight Show" MyBryde presented - now in full band accompaniment - her new single "One Night Standards" from her upcoming album "Never Will", which was also produced by Jay Joyce.

McBryde wurde in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, aufgezogen. Mit drei Jahren zupfte sie heimlich die Gitarre ihres Vaters wie ein Kontrabass, und nach etwa 17 Jahren kaufte ihr Vater ihr eine eigene Gitarre. Als sie zwölf Jahre alt war, spielte sie ihren Eltern und Großeltern ihre allererste Komposition vor. Es war am Arkansas Zustand, als, während ein Mitglied des marschierenden Bandes, McBryde schließlich anfing, ihre Stimme mit anderen zu teilen, und schließlich nach Nashville 2007 umzog, in dem ständig ein Stromkreis der Tauchenstäbe, der Biker hangouts und der bunten Verbindungen kämpfend, um ihre Liede hören zu lassen.

Ihre erste EP, die selbstveröffentlichte 2016 Jalopies and Expensive Guitars, war nur ein Vorgeschmack auf das, was McBryde kann, und bei ihrem Debüt in voller Länge wird sie ihre Songwriting Chops mit der Vision des Produzenten Jay Joyce verschmelzen und ihre Geschichten mit einem Hauch von gitarrengetriebenem Rockwut aufpeppen. McBryde hat keine Angst, die Wahrheit zu sagen, roh und echt zu werden und die Geister von Country, Folk und Rock zu benutzen, wenn es ihrem größeren Zweck dient. Und das ist, um die Geschichten zu erzählen, die uns erschüttern, uns machen und uns ein wenig mehr darüber erzählen, wie es ist, ein Mensch zu sein.
