Mick Kolassa is a prolific blues artist known for what he calls "Free Range Blues". When working on this album, Mick really wanted to create the songs, not just play them. We knew from the beginning that it would be another all-acoustic album. By deciding to limit ourselves to just acoustic instruments, we came up with some cool creativity. We really wanted to show that an acoustic album can sound just as big and full as one with the typical electric instruments - being acoustic doesn't mean it has to be sparse (not that there's anything wrong with that).
