Folkländer was one of the most important bands of the GDR folk revival. Formed in Leipzig in 1976, they existed, mostly as a quintet, until 1982, then with changing players, projects and names until the 2000s.

Corona is to blame for the fact that the line-up that recorded the AMIGA LP "Wenn man fragt, wer hat's getan" in 1981 surprisingly came together to record a new CD - fueled by the spirit of yesteryear.

"So viele Wege Vol. 1" gathers a dozen traditional, new and translated into German songs and promises on top the sweet prospect of "Vol . 2", which is already being worked on with determination.

All in all, this is a meaningful undertaking of the folkloristic kind for those involved and hopefully refreshing for all those not involved.
