Mit diesem Buch möchten wir an Blaze Foley erinnern. Einen Singer/Songwriter, des-sen Leben tragisch endete. Selbst heute, fast 30 Jahre nach seinem Tod, haben seine Songs nichts von ihrer Aktualität verloren.
Leider hatten wir nicht das Glück, ihn kennenzulernen, da wir erst lange nach seinem Tod auf seine Musik aufmerksam wurden.

Wir möchten in diesem Buch die Geschichte von Blaze nicht neu erzählen. Es ist viel-mehr eine Sammlung von Artikeln, die in den USA veröffentlicht worden sind und von uns übersetzt wurden, und ein paar von uns hinzugefügten Texten.
Love & Peace - Carmen und Kai Nees

Die bemerkenswerte Geschichte eines Mannes, der als Michael David Fuller geboren wurde, der auszog und sich in Depty Dawg verwandelte, danach in einem Baumhaus lebte und es als Blaze Foley verließ.
Im Alter von nur 39 Jahren, am 1. Februar 1989, fand sein Leben auf tragische Weise ein Ende.
Was von ihm geblieben ist, sind seine wunderbaren Songs, die bis heute nichts von ihrer Einzigartigkeit verloren haben.

Im Jahr 2009 wurde Blaze Foley in die Austin Music Memorial aufgenommen.
