The Down Home Percolators are Klaus 'Mojo' Kilian, voc / harp, and Bernd Simon, voc / gtr, former members of the h the Matchbox Blue Band and inspire more than 20 years with dynamically-powerful acoustic blues. After two live CDs they went into the studio and have invited a number of distinguished guests: Holger Schultze playing acoustic or electric lap steel guitar on 4 tracks, Frank Muschalle Trio on 6 tracks. As a bonus, are 2 live tracks with Bob Margolin, the former guitarist of Muddy Waters, recorded in August, 2013 by Germany radio. The repertoire consists of rarely heard gems of down-home blues from Louisiana Red, Sonny Boy Williamson (I & II), Big Joe Williams, Baby Boy Warren, Percy Mayfield, Jimmy Rogers, Jimmy Mccracklin a.o.

Wunderbarer origineller Akustikblues

Dieses wunderbare Bluesalbum macht Freude und Lust auf Mehr. Sehr informativ ist auch das Booklet. Hier findet Ihr Informationen, die kein Streamingdienst bietet. Deshalb liebe ich gut gemachte CDs, so wie diese. Ein Bluesman dieses Duos ist Klaus Kilian, manchen vielleicht auch als redakteur der Zeitschrift bluesnews bekannt. Er ist ein ausgewiesener Bluesfachmann und sehr guter Harpspieler. Besonders gut gefallen mir die beiden Titel mit Bob Margolin. Also: Wer Akustikblues in sehr guter Aufnahmetechnik liebt, sollte sich diese CD gönnen. Viel Spaß beim Hören.
