Goldy and Peter de Vries were a Dutch musician duo who became famous nationwide at the end of the 40s with their song 'Von den blauen Bergen kommen wir'. The duo made Schlager, which was influenced by American country music and the then popular Hawaiian music. When the record 'Von den blauen Bergen kommen wir' was released in Germany, it triggered a boom of cowboy hits. Later they devoted themselves to the equally successful Hawaiian hits.

The duo consisted of Goldy de Vries (vocals) and Peter de Vries (vocals and accordion). On most recordings they were accompanied by the Horst Wende Trio and the Kihula Hawaiians. In 1955 Goldy and Peter de Vries were able to place themselves twice in the charts with the titles 'Tausend Kuller-Kuller-Tränen' (1955, 28th place) and 'Lula-Leila' (1956, 23rd place), after which the duo became calmer.
