Thank You For The Days is a cornucopia of mega-stars (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Cream), hit artists (Kinks, Who, Troggs, Pretty Things, Seeds, Standells etc.), and outsiders (The Syn, The Marquis Of Kensington, Anita Harris, The Matadors). Most of the photos were taken in Germany, either on stage, or in TV or recording studios. Theres so much you havent seen, but pride of place goes to several completely unknown photos from the Beatles early days at Hamburgs famous Star-Club in 1962. Here are John, Paul, George, drummer Pete Best and Roy Young on piano. Their very first producer, legendary orchestra leader and composer Bert Kaempfert, is sitting in the audience. Sensational stuff!

Ein Buch, wie man es selten findet!

Ein wirklich sehr informatives Buch mit zum Teil seltenen Snapshots!
Die Fotos sind von guter Qualität und überwiegend nicht "gestellt".
Die Begleittexte sind zwar von der Ausführlichkeit etwas knapp ausgefallen, aber dennoch durchaus informativ.
Toll aber finde ich vor allem, dass in dem Buch auch auf einige "One-Hit-Wonder" eingegangen wird (z.b. Marquis Of Kensington).
Insgesamt ein absolutes "Must have"!!
