“Jeymes Samuel's Spaghetti Western Collection” presents a selection of rare selections from Italian Western soundtracks (1963-1972) carefully curated by the acclaimed father of the contemporary spaghetti western genre, BAFTA-winning director (“The Harder They Fall”, “The Book of Clarence”) and singer-songwriter Jeymes Samuel (“The Bullits”, executive music consultant for “The Great Gatsby” alongside Jay-Z and Baz Luhrmann, and collaborator with Gorillaz, Talib Kweli and Jay Electronica).

The English artist carefully curated the music selection and contributed to the overall art direction of the products, including hand-painting the cover artwork.

Musically, the collection highlights the unique sound of Italian western scores, which appropriated many elements of contemporary and rebellious music of the 1960s and blended them with the sonic representation of the American landscape. These include sharp surf-rock style twang guitars, soul and beat drumming, cinematic horns and a mesmerizing and groundbreaking unconventional use of abstract vocals and instruments as mastered by Ennio Morricone
