Jessi Colter's first solo album was released by RCA in 1970 and was produced by Chet Atkins and Waylon Jennings. Also on this release is the duet album with her husband Waylon Jennings, "Leather And Lace" from 1981, a collaboration that made it into the US Billboard and Country Charts. The single "What's Happened To Blue Eyes" was a Top 5 US Country Charts hit. Jennings died in 2002 at the age of 64, while Jessi recently wrote her autobiography and recorded new music. Digitally remastered, repackaged and with detailed liner notes.

geb. 25. 5. 1947 in Phoenix - Arizona Record Labels: Jamies, RCA, Capitol Erster No. 1 Hit: I'm Not Lisa (1975) Miriam Johnson, genannt Jessi Colter, spielte im Alter von 11 Jahren in einer Kirche das Piano, heiratete mit 16 den Gitarristen Duane Eddy, ging mit ihm auf Tour nach Deutschland und Südafrika, traf irgendwann mit Waylon Jennings zusammen,ließ sich von Eddy scheiden und heiratete Jennings. Als Komponistin schrieb sie Songs für Don Gibson, Anita Carter, Marion Worth, Dottie West und viele andere. Als Sängerin ist sie so ein bisschen eine Eintagsfliege geblieben. über ihren Ehemann Waylon Jennings fand sie Eingang in die Outlaw Szene der 70er Jahre, doch blieb sie stets, auch in Duett-Aufnahmen zusammen mit Jennings, zweitklassig.
