He's a legend in Vegas, but he never had a hit in the States. It was a different story in England tho'. Giddy Up A Ding Dong was a big hit there in 1956. Freddie was kinda like Bill Haley, cutting high energy, big band-styled rock 'n' roll. In '55 he recorded the version of Hound Dog that Elvis copied, and it's here together with his '56-'57 Mercury recordings such as Hucklebuck, Hound Dog ('56 re-make), Voo Doo, and
Rock The Polonaise. 27 tracks in all!
