Jason Aldean Georgia (CD)

In November 2021 Jason Aldean released his new album Macon, the first part of his double album. In 2022, the U.S. country star now sends part two into the race. Georgia, like "Macon," is a tribute to his homeland.

"The place you grow up has a big impact on who you become, and it's no different for me ... especially musically. My small hometown of Macon was very important to my musical background. Growing up in an environment where country music, Southern rock, blues and R&B intersected, it was natural for me to mix the different sounds in my own way," Aldean says. Georgia picks up right there.

He already introduced the first single with the song Whiskey Me Away. The track is about simple pleasures in life, such as finding a nice company on a lonely night or just listening to your favorite song on the jukebox.

Fifteen songs await Georgia, including, as with its predecessor, five live recordings. Aldean explains, "We've always tried to do more songs rather than less ... and this album is no different. We decided to include some live tracks that we've had in stock for some time. After nine albums and 16 years of recording, I hope people can see that I wanted to make this tenth album fun and different from anything we've done before."
