The three-time Grammy winner sings Southern soul classics from Al Green to AnnPeebles. "Lu's Jukebox" is a six-part series of band performances recorded live at Ray Kennedy's Room & Board studio in Nashville, TN. Each installment features a series of thematic songs by other artists selected by multi-Grammy award-winnerLucinda Williams. The series aired in late 2020 as a ticketed show onMandolin.A portion of ticket sales benefited independent music venues that had difficulty getting through the pandemic.

Like thousands of artists, she developed her craft by playing small, medium and large clubs across the country and around the world. These venues are crucial to the development of the artists and their music. Williams has never forgotten her roots and often performs special shows in some of her favourite venues.This year sees the release of Lu's Jukebox series on vinyl and CD.

After Vol.1 "Running Down A Dream", a tribute to Tom Petty and songs from his celebrated career, is already available, she now presents 11 of her own versions of various Southern Soul classics, such as "The Games People Play" (Joe South), "Rainy Night In Georgia" (Brook Benton), "You Don't Miss Your Water" (Otis Redding) or "Take Me To The River" (Al Green) on Vol.2 "Southern Soul:From Memphis To Muscle Shoals".
