Fans of the vocal harmony groups that originated in the late 40's and 50's in the USA already know that there was a lot more going on than what is subsumed under the label doo-wop today.

Stag-O-Lee has now released a new album of rare and danceable vocal harmony and doo-wop songs from the late 50s and early 60s.

The album titled ' Vocal Group Madness - 14 Bam-A-Lam Vocal Group Rockers from the 50s and 60s' presents a selection of tracks that are rare to find and have never been compiled before. The album is a collection of obscure and definitely rocking tracks from the archives of some of the coolest vocal harmony groups of the era, including The Ideals, The Eventuals, The Neons and Little Anthony and the Imperials.

Most of these recordings were previously available only on hard-to-find vinyl and have been carefully remastered to realize their full sonic potential. The album contains 14 tracks in all, each showcasing the raw power and vocal prowess that made doo-wop and vocal harmony groups such a popular genre at the time.

From the driving beat of 'Horror of the Black Museum' by The Nightmares to the soulful harmonies of 'Zing goes the Strings of my Heart', each track is a hit in its own right.
