New R&B discoveries continue to emerge and entertain the many devotees of the New Breed music cult; none more so than Kent's connoisseurs. Berna Dean's two previously unreleased recordings are by far her best. They were recorded by GNP Crescendo at Cosimo Matassa's New Orleans studios, but eschewed in favor of two relatively average sides.

The great '50s R&B songwriter Jesse Stone delivers a rock song for the much-admired Jimmy Breedlove and a super-catchy “This Morning” for an unknown vocal group with an upbeat gospel feel. Jesse also wrote “Private Eye”, a classic story song from the early 60s, for Buddy Wilkins, which was released on Al Sears' Tri-Ess label. And so it continues with this 25-track sampler accompanied by informative liner notes.
