Rockstar Records is celebrating its 50th anniversary—this triple CD pays tribute to all the musical segments from the British TV series “Boy Meets Girls” (1959) that could be found, featuring exclusive and partly previously unreleased tracks by Johnny Cash, Gene Vincent, Marty Wilde, Eddie Cochran, and many more.

British television producer and manager Jack Good created “Oh Boy!,” a legendary and popular TV series that is considered the blueprint for “Top Of The Pops.” Also serving as Marty Wilde’s manager, he created a follow-up hit with the series “Boy Meets Girls”; shockingly, after the series aired, it was discovered that ABC TV had deleted all recordings of the show. However, private and semi-professional recordings already existed at the time; supplemented by further surprising archival discoveries, the show’s music recordings were re-released over many years—at least in part—on Rockstar Records.

With these three CDs, featuring a total of 128 tracks (including numerous dialogues from the series and with the artists), the maximum amount of documented and restored music from the show is now accessible again. Alongside top stars like Johnny Cash, Gene Vincent, and Eddie Cochran, you’ll find not only Marty Wilde but also names like Billy Fury, Jess Conrad, The Vernons Girls, Little Tony, Cherry Wainer, Lynn Cornell, and The Firing Squad.
