Excellent-GARAGE PUNK UNKNOWS

Was für eine wunderbare Compilation. Hier sind Band's vertreten, von denen ich noch nie gehört habe, alles Jungspunde und aus einer Zeit, bei der man für ein paar Dollar eine Single, zwei Straßen weiter, pressen lassen konnte. Heute unvorstellbar. Die Musik ist unglaublich erfrischend, kraftvoll und rebellisch befreiend. Ich fühle mich ein bisschen an die frühen The Who's erinnert.
Für diese Zeit, schon erstaunlich, zumahl wir uns hier in den puritanischen USA befinden. Vielleicht genau deshalb. Es gibt keine Aussetzer, ganz im Gegenteil. Es kommt nie Langeweile auf und man denkt, oh mein Gott, was für ein herrlicher Rock'n Roll. Der phantastische analoge Sound der Sechziger Jahre, tut sein Übriges. Wenn die zweite Seite ausgeklungen ist, muß man erst Mal tief durchatmen, um gleich wieder von vorn zu beginnen. Großartig und mit viel Liebe für Details auch, die Gestaltung der Covers im Gatefold-Format. Es sind viele Fotos und Informationen zu den Bands enthalten, soweit man welche aufstöbern konnte. Den Machern gilt ein großes Lob, für diese Arbeit und die Mühe, die sie sich gegeben haben, um all diese Schätze aufzustöbern und auf Vinyl neu herauszubringen. Dafür bin ich sehr dankbar, denn anders wäre ich nie in den Genuß gekommen, diese Musik hören zu dürfen. Die Pressqualität ist wie immer vorzüglich, eigentlich schon ein Markenzeichen bei Bear-Family Records. Alles in allem ein Hochgenuß, wobei man bedenken sollte, daß diese Compilation's nur im Vinyl-Format so richtig zur Geltung kommen. Für mich überhaupt keine Frage. Vielen Dank! Ich schreibe diese Rezension, stellvertretend für die LP's aus dieser Serie, die ich bisher erworben habe ( Vol.1, Vol.2, Vol.5 ).
