He was the Cassius Clay of the entertainment industry - quite simply 'the greatest'.

And he would still be today. Elvis Aaron Presley (†1977), hard to believe, would celebrate his 70th birthday on January 8th. Reason enough to accompany this date with four very special CD releases.

'All kinds of 'King' couplings already exist', you can hear it there unken. Wrong!

Because ...and more bears has come up with something new.

Besides countless, unforgettable hits, the Elvis movies have long since become legends - just like the songs from these movies. Many of these songs appeared additionally in German versions, but naturally scattered to all winds. ...amb - and this has never happened before - has bundled all these titles, assigned them to the respective films and now presents them for the first time on two tribute CDs.

Songs from 16 Presley strips can be heard, for example from 'Love Me Tender' ('Powder Steam and Hot Songs'), 'Jailhouse Rock' ('Rhythm behind bars'), 'Blue Hawaii' ('Blue Hawaii') or 'Wild In The Country' ('Song of the Rebel').

A 'Who's Who' of the German hit in the 50s and 60s provided these titles: Peter Kraus, Ted Herold, Rex Gildo, Bill Ramsey, Gerhard Wendland, Paul Kuhn, Lys Assia and Maria Mucke present German versions of Presley classics.

And because attractive cover versions appeared again and again beyond the films, ...amb immediately followed up to celebrate the (birth) day: A further 44 Elvis numbers in German on two single discs complete the CD package. And again the star line-up is impressive: Beside 'Elvis specialists' like Ted Herold and Peter Kraus Tommy Kent, Gus Backus, Michael Holm, Ricky Shayne, Peter Alexander, Gerd Böttcher, Bobby Solo and many others belong to the singing congratulators.

With a total of 88 titles, ...amb bows before the 'King', reminiscent of one of the most important artists of the 20th century.

Und er wäre es auch noch heute. 

'Alle erdenklichen 'King'-Kopplungen gibt es doch schon', hört man's da unken. Falsch!

Denn ...and more bears  hat sich was Neues ausgedacht.

Neben zahllosen, unvergeßlichen Hits sind auch die Elvis-Kinofilme längst Legende – genau wie die Songs aus diesen Streifen. Viele dieser Lieder erschienen zusätzlich in deutschen Versionen, naturgemäß aber in alle Winde verstreut. ...amb – und das gab es noch nie – hat all diese Titel gebündelt, sie den jeweiligen Filmen zugeordnet und präsentiert sie jetzt erstmals auf zwei Tribute-CDs.

Songs aus 16 Presley-Streifen sind zu hören, etwa aus 'Love Me Tender' ('Pulverdampf und heiße Lieder'), 'Jailhouse Rock' ('Rhythmus hinter Gittern), 'Blue Hawaii' ('Blaues Hawaii') oder 'Wild In The Country' ('Lied des Rebellen').

Ein 'Who's who' des deutschen Schlagers besorgten in den 50er und 60er Jahren diese Titel: Peter Kraus, Ted Herold, Rex Gildo, Bill Ramsey, Gerhard Wendland, Paul Kuhn, Lys Assia und Maria Mucke präsentieren deutsche Fassungen von Presley-Klassikern.

Und weil damals auch über die Filme hinaus immer wieder attraktive Cover-Versionen erschienen, legt ...amb zur Feier des (Geburts)tages gleich nach: Weitere 44 Elvis-Nummern in deutscher Sprache auf zwei Einzel-Discs runden das CD-Package ab. Und wiederum ist das Staraufgebot imposant: Neben 'Elvis-Spezialisten' wie Ted Herold und Peter Kraus gehören Tommy Kent, Gus Backus, Michael Holm, Ricky Shayne, Peter Alexander, Gerd Böttcher, Bobby Solo und viele andere zu den singenden Gratulanten.

Mit insgesamt 88 Titeln verbeugt sich ...amb vor dem 'King', erinnert so an einen der bedeutendsten Künstler des 20. Jahrhunderts.
