Various Country Meets Rock'n'Roll Vol.2 (LP)

Various Artists – Country Meets Rock’n’Roll Vol. 2 is a vinyl compilation released in 1978 on ABC Records. As its title suggests, the album brings together two closely related musical styles: country and rock’n’roll. Both genres played an important role in the development of popular American music, sharing influences and musical traditions throughout the early rock’n’roll era and beyond. This second volume focuses on that connection and will appeal to listeners who enjoy classic country as well as vintage rock’n’roll. It is also an interesting addition for collectors of 1970s compilation albums and releases exploring the roots and crossover between these styles. A vinyl snapshot of a musical meeting point, presented under a title that says it all: Country Meets Rock’n’Roll Vol. 2.
