The Stargazers – The Speaking Clock Says...Rock! is the British rock’n’roll and jive band’s third album, released in 1992. Issued by Vinyl Japan, the album combines an authentic 1950s feel with the energetic approach of the British rock’n’roll revival scene. The 12-track release includes Lights Out, Rockin’ Robin, In A Little Spanish Town, See You Later Alligator, Pete’s Beat, Stop Beatin’ Around The Mulberry Bush, The Cat, Just Go Wild Over Rock ’N’ Roll, Ladykiller, Florida Twist, Shake Rattle And Roll and Eat Your Heart Out, Annie. Pete’s Beat stands out as an original jive instrumental. The Stargazers deliberately aimed for an authentic mid-1950s sound while giving it their own distinctive British rock’n’roll character. A highly appealing release for fans of rockabilly, jive and classic rock’n’roll.
