Felix Slim, known as one of Spain's leading blues musicians, comes from the North African enclave of Ceuta-Cadiz and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. As a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he specializes in blues, ragtime and swing from the 1920s to the 1940s. Inspired by the Delta, Piedmont and Texas sounds, Slim demonstrates his mastery of slide guitar, fingerpicking and different tunings. His dynamic interpretations of blues classics and original compositions, enriched with elements of flamenco, rebetiko and jazz manouche, have captivated audiences in over fifteen countries and four continents across eight albums. With his harmonica and kazoo skills, coupled with a unique vocal style, Slim creates a fresh and distinctive vintage sound. His ability to engage and connect with audiences has resulted in a captivating live performance that combines the humor and warmth of his Andalusian roots with the raw essence of the blues.
