Jamming like they did as teenagers was the Canadian Sheepdogs' response to the

labor pains of the pandemic. With no roadmap and a fundamental uncertainty, the band sat down in a circle, plugged in their amps, shared riffs and melodies, and leaned on each other. By their own admission, they hadn't felt this free since 2006's debut TRYING TO GROW. The record of the five-piece
from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, reads very well: number one songs, gold and platinum albums, numerous
and platinum albums, countless sold-out tours and the cover of Rolling Stone. However, the band has never
never pretended or cared about trends, but instead renounced slick productions and navel-gazing. The Sheepdogs want to land on the sweet spot between Led Zeppelin and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
Young and have brought along the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and CCR - infectiously catchy, soulful retro-songs.

After the psychedelic CHANGING COLOURS, OUTTA SIGHT is a throwback: instinctive, groove-oriented, simple songs, killer riffs, fine harmonies. An appeal to the senses. I Wanna Know You with a very strong chorus and effective guitar harmonies has something of 'Lets Spend The Night Together'. Scarborough Street Fight offers reminiscences of Rory Gallagher or Frank Marino, Roughrider '89 is Country meets Lynyrd Skynyrd. Music to feel good, music to celebrate life.
