(Concord Records) 12 Tracks - Out Of The Blues is the name of Boz Scaggs' new album for 2018. The guitarist and singer from Ohio thus concludes his album trilogy to explore his musical roots, which he began in 2013 with Memphis and continued in 2015 with A Fool To Care. He has recorded nine tracks for Out Of The Blues, again with drummer, producer and songwriter Steve Jordan. The result is a combination of own songs and cover versions of originals by Bobby 'Blue' Bland, Jimmy Reed and even Neil Young. Support is provided on Out Of The Blues by Scaggs' buddy Jack Walroth, who wrote or co-wrote four tracks, including the first single Rock And Stick in which he plays the harmonica.
