From the rock 'n' roll and big beat music that dominates America today comes the resounding, solid, driving beat of The Rock-A-Teens. The six young men from Virginia all have a "feel" for this music, and it is only with this innate feel in their approach that The Rock-A-Teens have been able to achieve the impact and success they have had in recent months. Just recently, Roulette Records released Woo-Boo, The Rock-A-Teens' first work, which quickly stormed the bestseller lists and became one of the great instrumental favorites of 1959. The insatiable musical appetite of today's record buyers was not content with Woo-Hoo, but demanded more. On this album is a complete collection of the Rock-A-Teens' sound for their growing fan base. In addition to the now famous Woo-Hoo, the boys mix instrumental big beat rhythms with rocking vocal numbers like Latta Boppin, Doggone It Baby, I Was Born To Rock, That's My Mama and others. All songs were written by members of the group, and the vocal work for Rock-A.Teens is handled by their leader Vic Mizell°. It was Vic who did the infectious woo-hoo-ing on "Woo-Hoo." The rest of The Rock-A Teens consists of: Bill Cook, Bill Smith, Paul Evans, Boo Walke and Eddie Robinson. Now that we've set the stage for you, it's time to turn up the sound and let the rocking begin, because here comes The Rock-A-Teens.
