The question of whether he's primarily a bluesman with a penchant for poetry or a singer/songwriter with a penchant for blues doesn't really arise. His excellently composed songs are as convincing as they are authentic. They are unsentimental, artistic and yet full of heart tones. The concerts are a must for all romantics and RootsRock fans.
