Founded in the late seventies as a cover band by guitarist THOMAS HESSE and the later ZOFF singer REINER HÄNSCH, the PEE WEE BLUESGANG has been one of the leading blues rock formations of German provenance for four decades now.

Originally still oriented towards classic role models such as B. B. KING, MUDDY WATERS, but also blues innovators such as JIMI HENDRIX and ERIC CLAPTON, the formation developed its characteristic group sound early on, characterized by predominantly original song material.

Thus, the Iserlohn-based band, which celebrated its fortieth anniversary in 2019, has released twenty highly acclaimed long players to date, including the album "Red Socks". Originally released in 1982 on Woolfe Recs, the band convinced with a powerful mix of blues, rock and boogie, characterized by inspired solos.

With RICHARD HAGEL (who had replaced REINER HÄNSCH, who had left the band earlier), the group had a world-class blues shouter, who was also an excellent rock singer.
