Buck Owens & The Buckaroos: Sweet Rosie Jones (CD)

(Omnivore Recordings) 12 tracks

Country classics - released for the first time on CD as they were in 1968. Mastered from original tapes with new liner notes and fan goodies. Originally released in 1968, Sweet Rosie Jones was Buck and His Buckaroos' third (!) album of 1968 and 10 of the 12 songs were written or co-written by Owens, including the title track, which reached #2 on the country singles chart.

The only songs that did not bear his name as a writer were "Swingin' Doors" by former Buckaroo Merle Haggard and "The Girl On Sugar Pie Lane" by then Buckaroo Tommy Collins. With classics like "You'll Never Miss The Water (Till The Well Runs Dry)" and "Happy Times Are Here Again", the original album holds a special place in Buckaroos history, reaching #2 on the country album charts.
