Maren Morris Humble Quest (CD)

Maren Morris celebrates her 32nd birthday in 2022. But despite her young age, the American country singer has already accomplished more than many of her peers. She has already released five studio albums and three EPs. On her debut, she was just 15 years old.

With Humble Quest, she now presents her sixth studio album, which is also her third major label album, following Hero (2016) and Girl (2020), which both reached number one on the U.S. country charts and number five and four on the Billboard 200.

It's prime time for Humble Quest, which, according to a press release, documents Morris' journey to redefine humility during the pandemic while juggling motherhood, a troubled career and the death of her friend and collaborator Michael Busbee.

Eleven songs make up this journey, which she co-wrote with her husband, country singer Ryan Hurd, Julia Michaels, Jimmy Robbins, Natalie Hemby, Laura Veltz and Jon Green, and ultimately recorded with star producer Greg Kurstin, known for his work with Adele, among others.

Above all, Humble Quest has become a very personal album. The first single, Circles Around This Town, tells of Morris' early days in Nashville, the song Hummingbird is for her son and Tall Guys is for her husband, with whom she released the duet Chasing After You just last year.
