The soulful Americana singer and songwriter BUDDY MILLER began his career in the early sixties. A young SHAWN CALVIN was in his band as singer and guitarist.

BUDDY did a number of sessions and worked on albums by JIM LAUDERDALE, VICTORIA WILLIAMS and HEATHER MYLES, among others. From the archives of HIGHTONE Records comes his debut 'Your Love and Other Lies', which is presented here together with 'Poison Love' as a 2-CD set.

BUDDY was also the lead guitarist for EMMYLOU HARRIS, and she returned the favor with backing vocals on 'Poison Love'.

In addition to his solo career and collaborations with EMMYLOU, he played guitar with STEVE EARLE, produced albums by JIMMIE DALE GILMORE and wrote songs for the DIXIE CHICKS.
