Some claim that Lou Cifer and the Hellions are actually a live band, or that the songs at least develop a very unique dynamic when played lin front of an enthusiastic audience. Time and again, private live footage of the band's performances is in circulation. This is usually done with good intentions, but often the recordings reveal a questionable quality.
The present live tracks were professionally processed, carefully mixed and mastered afterwards. Hence, we can now release these tracks in exceptionally good quality. The boys' joy of playing was well captured. But a show lives not at last from the audience, and that comes across very well on these platters, too. The particular club atmosphere in the 'Druckluft' is also evidenced by the ambient photos in the booklet.

Lou Cifer & The Hellions
Lou Cifer & the Hellions begannen 1995 als reines Studioprojekt, um die Vorstellungen der Musiker von Rock 'n' Roll aus der Metropolregion Ruhrgebiet umzusetzen.
Die erste 7" EP mit vier Titeln erschien auf dem eigenen Label ‚Fifty-Seven Records’. Sie enthielt wie alle späteren Produktionen auschließlich selbst geschriebene Songs.
Der Erfolg der ersten Platte überstieg die sämtliche Erwartungen!
1997 entschied sich die Band, auch live zu spielen und veröffentlichte Ihr erstes Album ‚Welcome To Rockville’. Die ersten Auftritte fanden in Finnland, Schweden, Norwegen und Deutschland statt.
Weitere Veröffentlichungen, die nach wie vor nur selbst geschriebene Stücke enthielten, verschafften ihnen einen soliden Platz in der Rock 'n' Roll-Musikszene.
Nach verschiedenen Mitgliederwechseln und einer zweijährigen Pause starteten Lou Cifer & The Hellions 2003 inn der Originalbesetzung nochmals durch. Mittlerweile hat sich das Quartett zu einem Top-Headliner der europäischen Teddy-Boy-Szene entwickelt. Im Februar 2015 feierte die Band ihr 20jähriges Bestehen mit einer furiosen Show und auch für 2019 sind wieder europaweit Auftritte gebucht.
