With an appearance on the popular show “Later ... with Jools Holland”, Pokey has already gained a large fan base in the UK. His guest appearance on the Jack White song “I Guess I Should Go To Sleep” on his solo album and various support shows for the White Stripes head during the “Blunderbuss” tour have brought him to the attention of many music fans. And it's no wonder that music enthusiast Jack White has decided to release the debut of this unique artist on his own label Third Man Records. There will be a European tour by Pokey LaFarge at the end of 2013, which will certainly include Germany.

Pokey LaFarge and his band bring focus and energy to the American roots genre, with infectious original songs that stand at the crossroads between early jazz, country blues and western swing. With his effortless charisma and unrivaled charm, Pokey has created a genre of his own - one that transcends mere music. His river-steamer style is just right for summer, which is why his self-titled album, due out July 4, comes at just the right time. “Pokey LaFarge” was produced by the frontman of the band Old Crow Medicine Show, Ketch Secor, and the first single release will be the song ‘Central Time’.
