The J. B.'s were an American group of musicians who accompanied James Brown, Bobby Byrd, Lyn Collins and other singers associated with the James Brown Revue; they also performed as a single group. The J. B.'s' had a lasting influence on many later groups in the funk genre. Prince named Pass the Peas (1972) as one of 55 songs that inspired him musically. In 2015, The J. B.'s were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This great double CD brings together their first 3 "solo" albums from 1972 to 1974.
