Die Einflüsse der Infamous Stringdusters sind zwar vielfältig, aber es besteht kein Zweifel daran, dass Bill und Bluegrass eine große Rolle für den Sound der Band spielen. Auf der LP der Infamous Stringdusters ist die Mandoline, Bills Hauptinstrument, nicht zu hören, da sie einen Weg verfolgten, um in der gemeinsam geschaffenen Musik innovativ zu sein, erklärt Jeremy Garrett, und um die musikalische Grundlage zu nutzen, die wir alle teilen.

"Bill Monroe war, soweit ich mich erinnern kann, die erste Bluegrass-Musik, die ich besaß", fügte Andy Hall hinzu. "Ich bat meinen Onkel um eine Bill-Monroe-CD-Box und bekam sie zum Geburtstag geschenkt, als ich 18 wurde. Der Sound, der aus meinen Lautsprechern kam, hat mich umgehauen. Es klang wie alter akustischer Heavy Metal".

Das Quintett wird einen Teil der Einnahmen aus dem Album an die IBMA Foundation spenden, eine Organisation, die dafür bekannt ist, Einzelpersonen, Organisationen, Stiftungen und Unternehmen bei der Unterstützung der Zukunft der Bluegrass-Musik zu helfen.
