Recorded in Wilhelmshaven on the "Songbook" Tour 2013- Songbook stands for the concept he created to put the songs in the center, his songs he wrote for other artists or which he himself led to world fame.   30 sound pearls of his extensive composition catalog between (Folk)Pop, Rock, Country and R'n'B, partly divided into decades "Freedom Come, Freedom Go" for the 60s, "Gimme Dat Ding" for the 70s or "One Moment In Time" for the 80s.

But beside these evergreens, there are also less known songs, e.g. "Smokey Factory Blues" the B-side of his first hit single or "Praise The Lord And Pass The Soup" a country oriented song, which was created and recorded in cooperation with Jonny Cash.
